  I use this to teach lessons to adults and teens. I know it sounds crazy but it helps everyone stay on the same page with timing and helps people choose wisely when to comment and how long to make their comment. I love that the colors can be dimmed a bit. I also really like that the focus is on calm colors rather than a ticking countdown clock.

  Things I would change:
  
  Timer: The countdown, wish I could turn off the view of this. Love the color change, but would rather not have a timer visually counting down. Makes me nervous. Love the color changes though.
  
  Beep: Wish it didn't beep until the end. I'm not timing to the halfway point, I'm timing to the end. In fact, an option to disable the beep would be great. Would love to just use the visual color change and no beeping at all. Don't like the beeping at various times, it's confusing as I set it for a specific time. If its upgraded, can I try out the new non-beeping version? I love it but would love it more without the beeping.
  
  Sleep option? I'm using this to remind me to stand up at my desk. And while it works well, love the custom time options, once it counts down that's it. And it will just stay brightly lit until I either turn it fully off or set another time. Would be nice to have it auto-sleep after a set amount of time. Especially since it's charge is running down. Like a auto-sleep after a minute, or five minutes.

  Works! Specific colors for countdown, and at the end it flashes through colors, great visual reminder.
  
  Edit: Charge lasts a couple of days, 2-3.
  Then it will works but auto shut off (I set for an an hour it shuts itself off in 10 min).

  This is a great product! I purchased it to replace my Zen Timepiece, which was so lovely but stopped working after many years (the company no longer exists so I cannot replace it). The Koala Timer Pal looks completely different than the Zen Timepiece but they do essentially the same thing. The Koala Timer Pal would likely be helpful for anyone who not just wants a timer, but appreciates information to help with transitions (it changes colors twice to indicate the percentage of time left). I have noticed that both kids and adults like it.

It is easy to set any time from 1 minute to 99 minutes. It’s soft and squishy which my toddler loves.   This is a cute fun visual timer. It is squish-able, soft, and smooth. It has some nice colors when its lit. However, I did not find the colors scheme very intuitive. Also, I couldn't get it to beep continuously. It does beep though. So on cuteness it is great but on easy of functionality, it has not been smooth. However, I think this timer can work for a kid if they can read numerical time as it can be seen lit up on the bear.

  This is a pretty awesome little timer! It's works exactly as advertised. The alarm sound is pretty quiet, so you do have to make sure you are near in order to hear it when it goes off. I also really like how easy it is for my children to use. They love this thing and have a fun time using it for reading time. My one complaint is the battery doesn't seem to last as long as I would have imagined, but it is functional and helpful for my little family. I also wouldn't use it for a child in bed. While the rubber is soft, it's not plushie or sturdy, so if you push hard enough, or if dropped or thrown, it will break inside components.

  This is amazing!!! I ordered it because our school mascot is a Koala. So pretty much anything Koala catches my attention. And we use visual timers in school (I also do at home, too) daily. Whether it's to give kids a goal for doing some work they really don’t want to, or to help them keep track of time away if they need a break, or just something fun for the competitive ones that work best with anything is a challenge - visual timers are a daily necessity. This one is one of the best!! First of all, it works off a charge so it doesn’t have to be near an outlet once it's been charged. And I don't know how long it takes to charge, but I had it plugged in for a few hours and it's been working ever since so the charge sure seems to last a long time, too. Second, it's so easy to set the time - kids can do it themselves. You just turn the little guys tail - to any number between 1 and I forget how high it goes, but I was thinking up to 100? For the number of minutes. Need a five minute break? Turn the tail to the number five. Twenty minutes of math practice? Turn it to twenty. Easy-peasy! Then you just push the tail and it starts. The first fifty percent of the time it lights blue. Then the last fifty percent is divided into thirty percent first, it's yellow. And when it turns purple you know your time is coming to an end. I can’t tell you how cute this thing is!! It's also soft and squishy to the touch. And it can be used as a nightlight, too. And the nightlight can have a timer set to stay on so long or just shut off automatically after two hours. As if all this isn’t enough, the information on how to set the different options is printed right on the bottom of the Koala so you don't have to worry about remembering how many pushes of the button you need for which function. Just turn him over and there it is. It comes with a charging cord but you'll need to supply the charging brick or outlet with a USB charge port. Some of my pictures were taken while it was plugged in because I didn’t realize it would charge at first, I just figured it had to be plugged in to work. Also in some of the pics/videos the numbers didn’t show up clearly, but that was due to the camera, they're perfectly clear and readable in real life. I'm about to get another one of these as a new baby gift for one of our teachers and one to keep at home for the grandkids. It really is the cutest, easiest, most fun visual timer that the kids have ever been interested in.

  I really love this koala timer. It’s pliable and soft when handled and bounces right back to its usual shape. If it gets dropped or thrown, it’s unlikely to break anything or get damaged.
  
  First you will need to charge your timer. It comes with a type-C charging cable, and has a groove at the bottom so you can set it flat on a desk while it charges, or use it cord-free.
  
  👋 Turn it on via the power button at the bottom. Then twist the tail (which is actually a button knob) to select your time—1 to 99 minutes. Then push the tail IN once to start the timer and voila!
  
  Once the timer starts, the koala glows blue. After approximately halfway through, it changes to yellow. Once it’s very close to the end, it will change to a pinkish purple. When it reaches zero, it will beep several times and then glow in waves of colors.
  
  The number display is digital and relatively easy to read. I think the overall quality is great. You can use it during your child’s preferred activity to adhere to a routine and prepare them to transition to a different activity. Or you can use it for a not-so-preferred activity, like homework.
  
  Either way, they will get visual cues as to how much time left they have to enjoy or endure what they are doing. It makes it so the parent or teacher isn’t the “bad guy” anymore for making them stop what they are doing…it’s predictable and even fun to anticipate it changing colors.
