The Pal Playground: Free Breathing Exercises & Visual Timer for Kids

The Playground is our set of free, interactive calm tools for kids — right in your browser, above on this page. Practice box breathing, 4-7-8 and rainbow breathing with a glowing pacer, or set the visual focus timer. No apps, no sign-up, nothing to download.

What you can try in the Playground

Guided breathing. Follow the glow as it slowly expands and settles — the same paced-breathing idea behind our Breathing Pal lights. Try box breathing (4-4-4-4) for focus, 4-7-8 breathing for winding down at bedtime, or rainbow breathing for younger kids who just need something gentle to follow.

Visual focus timer. Kids don't feel minutes the way adults do — but they can see color fade. Use the timer for homework sprints, tidy-up time, or ending screen time without a meltdown. It works just like our physical Timer Pal.

How families and teachers use it

Parents use the Playground to teach a breathing technique for the first time — practice together here, then use it anywhere. Teachers and counselors pull it up on a projector or classroom tablet for whole-class calm breaks and calm down corners. And if you're deciding whether a breathing light is right for your child, this is the easiest way to see if paced breathing clicks before you buy.

Practice here, then go screen-free

The Playground is the try-before-anything version of what our Pals do best. When you're ready to take the calm off the screen — for bedtime, backpacks, and calm corners — the one-button, app-free Breathing Pal and Timer Pal do the same job with no browser needed.
